The Annual Conference of the Movement is held during the
Easter Period because of the holidays which spreads from Friday
to Monday.
In fact the Constitution of the Movement provides that -
ARTICLE 107.
"A Conference shall be held annually at
which representatives from different Missions shall be present
to discuss matters affecting the welfare and progress of the
Movement, and to formulate programme of work to be undertaken
in the coming year."
From the provision of the Constitution it could be seen what
the gathering yearly is all about. The event has been observed
since the founding of the Movement as the next Annual Conference
coming up this year is going to be 87th Annual Conference.
At the beginning the Conference was held only in Lagos but
with the expansion of the
Movement the Annual Conference is held in other Missions of
the Movement outside Lagos
for those who offers to host for the year. The last two conferences
were held in Oyo and
Iseyin respectively.
